Early last year, I had the amazing opportunity to create one-of-a-kind save the dates and a beautiful invitation suite for a good friend and fellow graphic designer Anna and her fiancé, Matt. This couple is the definition of fun, and it was a joy to create stationary that matched their spirit and love story.

Save the Dates
For the save the dates, we looked at a variety of layouts, but ultimately, Anna and Matt chose an art rendering I created of their amazing engagement photo by Josh Nygen. This design with its bright colors, movement, and ample white space was a big hit with the couple and their guests.
When my husband and I got married in 2020, we opted out of engagement photos due to the added expense. However, after seeing Anna and Matt’s beautiful photos, I would encourage any bride and groom to get some taken if it’s within their timeline and budget.
Wedding Suite
For their wedding stationary, Anna and Matt allowed me to create a luxurious set that included an outer envelope, an inner envelope with a custom liner, an invitation, details card, and a vellum bellyband.

For the artwork for their invitation and details card, I created two watercolor images of their venue, The Baker in North Little Rock. I also created a simple watercolor logo for their envelope liners, which was my favorite aspect of the suite.
This modern stationary suite blended their exciting energy as a couple with the elegance of their wedding colors and theme. I enjoyed pairing traditional elements with a contemporary design for a truly unique stationary set for a truly unique couple.
When I asked Anna to share her thoughts on the suite, she said, "I think my favorite aspect of the design was that it really felt like us as a couple. Michelle did a wonderful job of listening to what we wanted and really making that vision come to life.
